No Coincidence Media is an Independent media company that produces and develops raw, cutting edge and signature Indigenous television, documentary and feature films.

Responsible for series such as Colour Theory with Richard Bell 1 & 2 on NITV and SBS, a collection of 12 x 30 minute documentaries hosted by provocative artist and political activist  Richard Bell, who travels to the ancestral homelands of twelve artists across Australia, looking at how country and culture inspire their modern form of art, and documenting their creative processes from inception through to production and exhibition.

Servant or Slave, written by Mitch Stanley and Hetti Perkins, directed by award winning writer and director Steven McGregor, attracted the highest ever rating on National Indigenous Television to date, awarded the audience award at Melbourne International, Antenna Documentary and Harlem International Film Festivals in 2017.

Most recent productions include documentary series Warwick Thornton’s, The Beach available on A24, Gary Hamaguchi’s, Larapinta on SBS in Australia, the first official Indigenous Co Production between Australia and New Zealand which was chosed to open the Sydney Film Festival in 2021, selected for Toronto International Film Festival, and won the best narrative drama prize at the ImagineNative Film Festival in Canada, We Are Still Here. No Coincidence Media has recently produced with Causeway Films, Jon Bell’s psychological horror, The Moogai. Based on the short film which won the Midnight Horror Short at SXSW, Melbourne International Film Festival and LA Shorts, amongst others, with it’s world premiere in Sundance 2024 coming up!
